Gonna be a first timer.

We live in SC and are thinking about pulling our 30′ Party Hut up for a long Boomsday weekend, it’s a 3 hour trip in a car. . We don’t know where to put in or if there are any permits or fees with the city to tailgate all weekend. It’s going to be an undertaking to get it up there so I’m trying to cover all my bases now. I noticed a ramp about a mile up river under the overpass. And help or ideas or advice would be greatLu appreciated!   Go Vols!!!

  1. I found out that I can use the Riverside Park ramp to put in. I am still wondering if I have to have a permit or just show up and be there. I look forward to hanging out and meeting a few of ya’ll that weekend. We want to experience a different tailgating atmosphere than our usual parking lot. Again, any advise or ideas would be helpful.

  2. No permit is required to put your boat in, no permit required at any ramp in Knoxville. Docking at the VOL Navy is completely free, but on a first come first serve basis. Welcome and we look forward to meeting you.

  3. Thanks a lot Harbormaster, we are planning on coming up Friday morning that weekend and not leaving until Monday. . We look forward to hanging out with ya’ll! We will be on a 30′ Party Hut pontoon with “Heavy’s Girl” written on the sidewalls of the Sun Deck. If theres something you think of that would help us out, please fill us in. Enjoy your summer on the water and Go Vols!!!!!!!!!
