As most of you are aware the VOL Navy Docks are currently partially dismantled due to the reconstruction of the Henley Street Bridge. Your hosts at VOLNavyBoaters.com recently spoke to the lead contractor.

The person in charge of the project (himself a alumnus of UT and proud supporter of the VOL's) is aware of the potential disruption this may cause. Regretfully, it is still too soon to determine when (or if) the docks will be restored in time for the football season. Currently, dockage space is about 60% normal capacity.

For those of you who are particularly concerned about this there are a couple of options available including a limited number of season long (or game by game) slip leases at the downtown marina adjacent to the VOL Navy Docks. For additional information about these options .
